Echoes of Eden, Strengthening Your Faith In The Word Of God
Our Motivation

Marcus Cicero, the great Roman philosopher and statesman, once said, “The causes of events are ever more interesting than the events themselves.” This observation from long ago still rings true in the 21st century, epitomizing the current state of affairs in our society. Newspapers, talk shows, coffee shops, and living rooms are filled with questions about the great moral wrongs that place in the world. We are quick to place blame yet frustrated by our inability to find a suitable target.

No place is this confusion more prevalent than in the United States. We live in a nation that prides itself on being the world’s foremost problem-solver yet our leaders continue to spend many sleepless hours trying to resolve the age-old paradoxes that plagued those that came before them. America’s lawmakers pass regulation upon regulation in an attempt to alleviate the problems. We battle to put out the fires of racism yet fail to recognize their fundamental cause. Many mourn the precious lives that are taken in abortion clinics yet fail to see the reasoning behind those that commit such murderous acts. We cry as American servicemen and servicewomen come home in flag-draped coffins yet fail to understand the motivations of the madmen against whom they were sent to fight. Without a doubt, America has focused on “the events themselves” and forgotten “the causes of events.”

Few thoughts or ideas have had a greater impact on society than that of evolution. It only takes a few moments of channel surfing to realize that nearly every area of our lives has been impacted by it in some way. At no other time in history have we faced such as extensive campaign to remove God from our governments, our schools, and even our homes. This atheistic mindset, grounded in generations of evolutionary thought, is threatening the moral fabric of our nation and even tearing at the hearts of those that sit in the church pew. Statistics have shown that two-thirds of children from Christian homes will leave the church after they leave home (State of the Church, Barna Institute, 2002). The abandonment of the church in modern times is the direct result of the atheistic and evolutionary indoctrination that is actively pursued by the educational system and media.

Our Ministry

Echoes of Eden, a ministry of Victory Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN, is dedicated to exposing the concept of evolution for what it really is—the most dangerous and destructive idea ever put forth. It is our desire to use the Creation message as a tool to strengthen the faith of believers in the Word of God and challenge the worldview of non-believers. This is done through the fast-paced and informative seminar presentations of Stephen Lawwell, the founder of Echoes of Eden.

If you would like to have Echoes of Eden present the truths of God’s Creation to your church, school, or club, please contact us for scheduling availability. Please note that there is no financial obligation in hosting a meeting. Echoes of Eden strives to be faith-based ministry that trusts in God’s ability to meet its financial needs through the generosity of His people (Luke 6:38).
